Transforming Education in Uganda and Africa
TIN's Impactful Teacher Training
This year, our team at TIN conducted a comprehensive five-day training for teachers and caregivers at our partner schools, Hadijah Primary School and Hadijah Secondary School, under the Direct Aid Society.
Primary School Teacher Training
We trained over 14 primary school teachers, covering essential topics such as:
– Effective Teaching Methodologies
– Reading Implementation in all classes using the RICA approach
– Personal and Professional Development
– Learner-Centered Learning
The feedback from teachers was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their intention to incorporate new teaching methodologies and approaches into their lessons.
Secondary School Teacher Training
Our team also trained 25 secondary school teachers, focusing on:
– Interpreting the New Curriculum
– Effective Teaching Methodologies
– Personal and Professional Development
Teachers gained valuable insights into hybrid teaching approaches, learning styles, and conducting learner-centered lessons.
Empowering Educators, Enhancing Education
At TIN, we believe that “Everyone Can Teach, But Not Everyone Can Teach Learners To Understand.” Our Director, Tr. Peter Okware, emphasizes the importance of effective teaching methodologies that prioritize learner understanding.
We’re proud to be making a positive impact on education in Uganda and Africa. Stay tuned for more updates on our initiatives and success stories!
