OUTSTANDING TEACHER AWARDS!

TIN organizes the Outstanding Teacher Awards, aimed at recognizing and motivating exceptional ECD, primary and secondary school teachers across Uganda

SCOPE AND IMPACT

Teachers in Need (TIN) acknowledges the crucial role teachers play in shaping the future of Uganda’s education system.

With over 340,000 teachers in Uganda, of which 180,000 are in private schools, the Outstanding Teacher Awards target a significant portion of the teaching population. TIN’s survey revealed that a staggering 95% of teachers do not feel motivated in their jobs. In response, the awards aim to restore the dignity of the teaching profession and inspire teachers to dream big, fostering a sense of pride and appreciation for their contributions.

On a monthly, we award outstanding teachers and give out smartphones to promote modern teachers and innovative education
